Schedule

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

The Core of instruction at Madama Jiu-Jitsu is Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art developed by the Gracie family in Brazil over 50 years ago. Professor Josh Madama learned much of the art from Renzo Gracie, grandson of the founder, and his first American black belts, Matt and Nick Serra.

We have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for every level of student. We have Beginner’s classes (no experience needed), Kids classes (5-14 years old), and Advanced classes.

No Gi Jiu-Jitsu

No Gi Jiu-Jitsu is closely related to Traditional Brazilian jiu-Jitsu, but it is practiced without the gi.

No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is often called Submission Grappling. Submission Grappling came into prominence in 1998 after the Abu Dhabi Combat Club started an annual tournament that looked for the best submission grapplers in the world.

Madama Jiu-Jitsu has always had submission grappling classes, but only for advanced students. Starting in the Summer of 2010, we also have classes for the Beginners and Kids.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Our Kickboxing classes, overseen by Kru Mike Lanzano, are classic Muay Thai kickboxing featuring punches, kicks, knees, elbows and clinch-work. Our kickboxing classes are open to all levels of student.

Conditioning for MMA & Jiu-Jitsu

Professional personal trainer, Will Chung, brings our students through a range of strength, flexibility, and conditioning exercises geared specifically for Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

Mixed Martial Arts

Our Mixed Martial Arts classes combines the best and most efficient techniques of jiu-jitsu, wrestling, Western boxing, and kickboxing in one class. Our MMA classes are open to all levels of student.
